PPI Claims Further Depleting. A Sign Of Good Things To Come?

The Financial Ombudsman Service rports it had resolved 448,000 financial complaints of all types in the last year, a 20% reduction from its 488,000 the previous year with customers getting its favour over half of the cases.

The Financial Ombudsman said that PPI claims have fell to 205,000 in 2015 up to March. This was a significant drop from 400,000 the previous year.

The FOS said it continues to focus on complaints prevention rather than resolving something that could be avoided.

The UK mis sold PPI total is now at £26 billion with a £2 billion imminent addition according to credit rating agency Standard & Poor.
